Can you believe that the holidays are just around the corner? Each year, Families Forward holds a Thanksgiving-themed grocery distribution for local families in need to ensure that their children do not miss out on the Thanksgiving festivities. While parents pick up their baskets, their children participate in fun-filled activities such as face painting and arts & crafts. Let’s start the holiday season off right and ensure the children in our community will celebrate Thanksgiving with a full belly!
Families Forward even offers a Thanksgiving Volunteer Program! You can join them the two weeks leading up to their Thanksgiving distribution and help organize food donations for their big distribution day. Or you can help distribute food baskets to over 700 families! Thanksgiving Basket distribution takes place the Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving. Volunteers help by filling food baskets, loading groceries into families’ cars, hosting activities for the children, and much more!
