Don’t worry, we understand! It’s exactly why New Mom School was founded; to provide you with expert advice, a strong community and unmatched support as you navigate this new phase of life.
Whether you’re only a few weeks pregnant, are into your second trimester, or are getting ready to welcome your baby any week now, here’s how New Mom School can support you.
Pregnancy Support Group
Our complimentary Pregnancy Support Group gives expecting moms the chance to have all of your questions answered and meet other expecting moms in the lead up to your baby’s arrival.
Led by Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Perinatal Mental Health therapist Jeannie Elbing, the group is a judgment-free environment where you can come and ask the REAL questions you’ve been thinking. (And we promise you’ll get the practical answers you’re looking for!)
We discuss things like:
- Creating a postpartum wellness plan
- Emotionally preparing for birth
- New parent coping strategies
- How to ask for help without guilt
- Setting boundaries w/ friends and family
- Resources to support you in feeding your baby
- Choosing a pediatrician
The group meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at our Costa Mesa Studio. You can learn more and register for the Support Group here.
Our Newborn Class
Our Newborn Class Series starts when your baby is about 3 weeks old and runs in-person over 10 weeks. We believe postnatal classes are equally, if not more important, than prenatal classes because once the baby is actually here there are an endless amount of questions and worries that we can help with.
We created our pre-registration option so you have a space secured in our classes once your baby arrives. It also allows us to place you with other moms whose babies are closest in age to yours; think within 2-4 weeks!
During your weekly class you’ll receive education and support from highly sought-after professionals on topics such as:
- The Transition into Motherhood
- Newborn Sleep Foundations
- Soothing Your Fussy Baby
- Attachment and Bonding
- Marriage and Motherhood
- Infant Massage
- The Postpartum Body
- Tummy Time and Baby’s Physical Development
- Working vs. Staying Home
- Reducing Anxiety Tools and Techniques
AND you’ll have the most magical experience of being supported by moms going through exactly what you are, saving your sanity and giving you the confidence and knowledge you need to be the BEST mom that you and your baby deserve.
At New Mom School, we are here to help and make your lives easier and we stop at nothing to make that happen for you in your postpartum journey. We are honored and grateful to be a part of it, so please connect with us if you have any questions or we can support you further.
We can’t wait to meet you at a support group or in class soon.
