Since opening The Dailey Method – Newport Beach in January, one of the most fulfilling things for me has been to see how our studio can give mothers the gift of health, well being, and dare I say…time alone! 🙂 I have no children of my own (yet!) but I’m blessed to be an Auntie and I’ve witnessed how challenging it is as a mother to focus on your own self-care when you have so many other things to balance in your life. This is what motivates me to offer childcare at our studio and accommodate mothers anyway we can.
Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to bring a new program to The Dailey Method – Newport Beach, a class called Dailey Baby! Dailey Baby is a Mommy & Me style fitness class which includes your baby in a front pack and on a mat (you bring the mat/blanket!) while you tone and strengthen your body. The class is 45 minutes long and targets all the major muscles groups in the body as well as has a focus on rebuilding abdominal and pelvic floor strength, which is so hugely important for new mothers. We do exercises with a large range of motion to keep the babies moving (it’s magic for crying little ones!) and your heartbeat up! Trust me, it’s a challenge but it’s FUN! Most importantly, you have intimate and enjoyable time to bond with your little one in safe, non-competitive environment. Nursing, feeding, walking and crying are all welcome!
